Kookaburra’s The Nest creative development wing is making a big investment in Australian musicals in 2008-09. The Nest has commissioned a new work from an emerging writing team and will also launch the 5in10 initiative.
The Pratt Prize for Music Theatre is moving in a new direction. Rather than recognising a outstanding unproduced new work, the Pratt Foundation has decided to award the prize as a commission.
